Not only cheaper then petrol and diesel, LPG is also healthier for the engine and the environment. As the Government is set on increasing petrol and diesel above the rate of inflation and the tax on large petrol and diesel vehicle, LPG provides a cheaper alternative.In the UK there is a surplus of over 3.5 million tonnes of LP per year from the North Sea.

Due to its low fuel duty LPG will save you 40% of the actual fuel cost. About 60% of LPG is a by-product of the natural gas extraction process. By using LPG you can reduce the emission of carbon dioxide, the main gas responsible for global warming.

Once converted your car will run either on LPG or petrol. An independent fuel system will be added to the car and a tank is usually fitted in the spare wheel well,boot or underneath the car.

The LPG fuel indicator is fitted into to the changeover stick, it is a small LED gauge which indicates how much fuel is left in the tank.
